The first 9 people to comment here get three things from their gallery that I choose as a feature. Anyone who does this has to re-post this in their journal with me as the first spot.

So, yeah, pretty self-explanatory. :)  I'll post thumbnails and try to put together a blurb like :iconcatandcrown: did, because that seems like a good thing to do. ^_^

1. :iconcatandcrown:
Pieces: VS Elina: Runway Rumble by catandcrown   Let No Joyful Voice Be Heard by catandcrown   Cats, Books and The Holy Lance by catandcrown
Thoughts: I've been following this artist for a while, and it's really been fantastic watching his style evolve into rich, self-contained stories.  Digital art has always fascinated me in the way things I don't think I'll ever grasp often do, and :iconcatandcrown: has plenty in that realm (as well as traditional art!) to enjoy. :)

2. :iconrazor9350:
Pieces: Beast V.2 by Razor9350   Rorschach cosplay by Razor9350   My 2nd Sonic character: Blade by Razor9350
Thoughts: I think my favorite thing in this gallery is the original characters.  Not only are they drawn with personality and given active poses, but their stories are told in the Artist's Comments to give the viewer an insight into whom they are.  And of course, how could I resist the Rorschach cosplay! ;D

3. :iconskysongma:
Pieces: Iron and SnowThey say New  York is beautiful this time of year.
They tell me the snow makes everything sparkle:
It covers dirty streets
and graffiti
and homeless men that nobody took inside.
Everything is smeared with white,
its truth gone,
like a chalkboard after lecture ends.
I ask what it looks like in spring,
When the buildings stand raw and unprotected
And the trees stretch barren, skeletal fingers to a sun that doesn't yet nourish.
They tell me to think less morbid thoughts.
It was snowing the night you died.
Did the flakes fall on your face?
Did you catch them on your tongue?
Or did you just put your hands in your pockets
And hunch your shoulders against the wind
And never once think that you were a target,
That your life was numbered in seconds, not decades or years or even days…
That every step took you farther away from the life you knew.
And I think of your body, broken and still.
And I think of what is left of myself.
And I think…
I think the best part of me lies ble
Love on Every Inch of YouI love you.
You.
With the glasses your classmates teased you about when you were little.
You.
With the acne you can't seem to get rid of no matter how  much you shower,
how little chocolate you eat,
or how old you get.
You.
With whatever feature you find so utterly repulsive
that you cannot believe another human being would ever see you naked and rejoice.
I love that you are alive.
I love that each breath I take contains a little bit of you,
and of me,
and of every person who has ever lived.
I love pressing my hand to my heartbeat and knowing you feel the exact same thing.
I know you don't believe me.
You can't even consider the possibility.
And deep in your heart you doubt anyone—
not just a perfect stranger,
but people who know you down to your last neuron—
can really love you.
Do you know what else I know?
I know that it isn't true.
You are precious.
You are beautiful.
You are handsome.
You are every face I have ever wanted to kiss, to touch, to laugh with.
You a
The Dead GodThe room was large, quiet, and empty, and it smelled like death. It should have smelled like weathered stone, or dust, or moss that grows forgotten in dark places so long it forgets its name, but Rat knew death. He had tasted it the moment they walked inside this ancient church, and he longed to adjust and stop smelling it.
He wished he could walk closer to the three adults behind him, but he would get in trouble. He wasn't a scrawny child today; his job was to walk carefully and take the brunt of any traps he triggered so the adults would be all right. They were needed, after all: Theodora and the silent man had the magic, and Flim was a miner. And Rat... Rat was looking for stairs. Those stairs went down a hole flush with the floor, invisible until Rat almost tripped into it. He caught himself, and his fingers clenched around his light stone. It was a long way to fall. Rat swallowed hard before calling back. "Here!"
Flim started for Rat and his light, but Theo lingered, studyi

Thoughts: Literature!  Possibly the most challenging of Deviations simply because it requires the viewer to go in and have a look rather than offering an instant visual thumbnail.  I challenge everyone to make a point of reading more Literature offerings, and begin with some of SkysongMA's.  :gallery:

4. :icona-chemical-vendetta:
Pieces: The World is Built Atop This by a-chemical-vendetta   Left Overs by a-chemical-vendetta   shadows by a-chemical-vendetta
Thoughts: A traditional artist, using graphite, ink, and paint along with photography.  I really like the contours and attention to detail in chemical-vendetta's drawings, and the "Leftovers" painting series is fun with its sense of speed and motion, making interesting use of what most people would disregard.  I saw mention that this artist has other works that are being displayed elsewhere - I hope they'll be scanned in here eventually! :la:

5. :iconmrs-matsuyama:
Pieces: Creature of the Night by mrs-matsuyama  :thumb172547076:   What's This? by mrs-matsuyama
Thoughts: Beautiful animal photos, and color on black paper.   mrs-matsuyama has a knack for capturing interesting moments, as well as some excellent luck (as with the butterfly picture).  Her subjects are given a wonderful sense of character, and the process shown from step to step is as interesting as the final product.  :sherlock:

6. :iconlethianu:
Pieces:
Thoughts: Music and theater permeate this gallery and its many stories.  A fan of both "V for Vendetta" and "Phantom of the Opera" (those two fandoms seem to attract one another! ;D), :iconlethianu: is a compellingly prolific creator of musicals, poems, adventure sagas, and original characters. :sing:

Ah, I'm glad you took note of my originality. The characters' backstories are always getting edited, and with each change, it becomes more and more my own. And I take pride in having such an ability.

Also, the Rorschach cosplay took a ton of work to put together. Me and Mom had to buy three items from a thrift store, those being the coat, scarf and pants, and the mask was custom-made by yours truly. ;) The first-place award was well-deserved. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on my work!

Also be sure to read and comment on my latest Deviation; it shares the complete written storyline for one of my greatest villains. The story itself took several years to perfect.
