Still in the process of altering/improving my Rorschach costume. As of now, I finally got rid of the front pleats in the suit trousers (seriously, has anyone encountered a pair of trousers that actually benefits from front pleats?!) and I found a $17 hat at a vintage store that is A)awesome in its vintage correctness, and B)teaching me one hell of a lot about how a proper hat band is constructed. xD I can't say that I'm learning correct sewing or alteration techniques, but things are holding together and looking fairly neat, which is all I ask.
I'm also working on another mask, as the first one I did is a touch off-center and the fabric is losing a bit of its elasticity. Oh - in case anyone wanted to know (and partially so I remember to write it down somewhere for future reference), the mesh that I used for the mask was called "Power Mesh" and I found it at JoAnn Fabrics. You can see it here as well: www.bnbtextiles.com/gallery.ht… www.nyfashioncenterfabrics.com… . I sewed it using the "mending" setting on my sewing machine. Straight-stitching it didn't work so well, and you have to go s-l-o-w-l-y with it. But it works, and lets you see through up to three layers in good light/day, two layers in poor light/night.
I've got access to a really kick-ass location for some cosplay photos, so I hope to get that done soon. Don't know if I'll do it before or after C2E2, but provided they turn out all right I'll post them.

My other hang-outs:
The Rorschach/Watchmen Kinkmeme
Rorschach emote by Smileydesign (Gomotes)
Stamps by picklelova, styrecat, Fedini, grau-gestreift, Jhas777, BuckNut
Practice makes perfect. And I tip my hat to you for sticking with your sewing attempts. I crashed and burned years ago and gave up. I let my grandmother (career seamstress) do all the stuff I can't. Glad to hear things are going fairly well for you otherwise.
