Awesome, thanks! :thanks: My other half certainly went through enough for it! xD

The coat is actually Frankensteined from two separate canvas trench coats, and then painted. I had to make the mantle for it, and switch the buttons from "female" to "male" configuration ('cos gawd knows Rorschach wouldn't tolerate wearing a women's coat, hurm), and I had to lengthen the belt. Then I sponged layers of acrylic paint on for toning, and then sponged Mod-Podged over the whole thing for depth/shine. The end result is a bit stiffer (and stickier!) than I might like, but it does all right. :D

(I do have another trench coat from a thrift store that's 90% the right look, though, if you're looking--?)

Oh well it looks great. Mine is just a women's trench I found somewhere so I guess I'm always Wanda Kovacs.

Aaaand I'm always looking for the perfect Rorschach coat, but my bank has been busted by school starting back, but if you still have it around October I may make you an offer. ;P

Well, it only cost me $4 and parcel post doesn't cost much (if you're in the US?) I'll keep you in mind, for sure. ;)

("s-e-w-e-r" ;) ) And I'm not, really... :blushes: I got lucky finding most of the elements and then altered them to suit. The mask is the only thing I made from scratch, and there are other custom masks out there now (not the cheesy store-bought ones) that aren't too expensive. I do currently have a trench coat that's very close to the right type - if you're about 5'-6" tall, it should fit.

whoops, yeah, that'd be a bit too short for the coat I've got! xD Try checking Ebay with "rorschach mask" in quotes. There are a few users who make them with thermochromic paint that changes with temperature for about $40, and some other users that make unchanging masks. Quality varies (a lot!), but they all cost way less than what I'd have to charge! ^^;

Is that you as Rorchach? What did you do to the coat to make it look like that? Looks great!

Yep! :D I painted the coat with multiple sponge-scumbles of med. brown, dk. brown and black acrylic craft paint, and then went over all that with another scumble of gloss-finish Mod Podge for Fabrics. It made the coat a bit stiffer than I'd like in places, but I got the general look I was after. :)
