"The student will learn but one lesson from me," he snarled. "And it shall be his last. ... Simple plain Clarence, I do love thee so, that I will shortly send thy soul to heaven."1
And on the last word, gloved fingers tightened, digging into Prichardson's throat."

I Wanted My Own World...So I Don't Regret My Choice
The emotions in this picture combined with the text are fascinating. The person underwater is very well-drawn and you achieved showing the wetness of V's hair. Another fav.

First reaction: It's professional. Literally the quality of professional publication.
The face on Clarence is amazing. Very expressive and very life-like, just like the boy in the car was. Also the detail on V's arm, and the ability to handle the water in the scene ... that is, the water on V, the splashing, and even just the surface of the water.
It's also one of those rare pictures where It's scary. V actually scares me a little, just from the pic. It was the same way with the pic where he was holding Bobby by the throat. 'Bettering the lesson', I believe it was(?). For me, it's the look on the guy's face, the strength in V's arm, and the ironic (made menacing in the situation?) smile on the mask, that go together to make it seem so scary. To me, at least.

'We'll be ok' -- best three words ever heard
Remember, remember the Law of Three, because it applies to Them too, just as surely as you and me.

Thank you! I do want to work more with this style; it helps me to be more decisive with my shading. I'll have to see what other images "translate" well into this form!

Hello there! This news article is the result of a thumb share thread I posted few days ago on the dA forum along with pictures from my favorites. I hope you enjoy them.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
